Child Health Programme in Maasai Villages

Orphans Foundation Fund is coordinating this programme with cooperation with Mount Meru Hospital and a support from volunteer doctors from the United States of America led by Dr. James Lace. Volunteer doctors come to Tanzania and provide free medical services to the communities at village dispensaries.

OFF has been coordinating the community mobilisation activities, linking with Mount Meru Hospital , identifying the health needs from the community in Olkokola  and Lengast villages ahead of volunteer doctors missions to these villages.

For the year 2013 , 3 mobile clinics in the Maasai village of Olkokola was conducted . From Jan to April  2014, 1 session has been in Olkokola and 1 session in Lengast village.   The number of children  who benefit from the services has increased from 200-450 in one medical session. In these sessions children received the  diagnosis, treatment and referrals.
